Gold Coast City is known for sunny subtropical climate, surfing beaches, waterways – canal systems, a skyline dominated by high-rise apartment buildings, a rainforest hinterland in the west of the city, nightlife, surf breaks – beaches( Duranbah beach is one of the world’s best known surfing beaches) and its tourist attractions.

Thanks for your comments Eliza, Gwen and Rick. Its encouraging that we have Clean Up Australia day (http://www.cleanup.org.au/) – one of the things they point out is that if everyone in Australia picks up 1 piece of rubbish, that is 20 million pieces of rubbish picked up. I try and pick up 1 piece a day. Imagine everyone did that!
