The FinePix Z33WP is Fujifilm’s first waterproof digital camera. Its a great little unit that is ideal for taking out into the surf. The Z33WP employs a Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, has Fujifilm’s ‘Automatic Scene Recognition’ SR AUTO mode technology, and you'll love the 2.7-inch, 230,000 pixel resolution LCD screen.

Intelligent Scene Recognition

The Fujifilm Z33WP has their new SR Auto (Automatic Scene Recognition) mode that means the camera can recognise between six types of scenes automatically and optimise the exposure, focus, white balance and ISO for the photo. This ensures the best quality picture is captured with ease, a very important feature as that wave is rolling in. Lets face it, you just do not have time to adjust camera settings in these scenarios. To further help you take photos while sitting on your board, Fujifilm has added their Picture Stabilization, which is powered by high sensitivity for faster shutter and operational speeds. This can help reduce camera shake, keeping those barrelling moments as true to form as possible.

I have used this camera underwater and on top. Sunsets and sunrises. I really like the way it handles and shoots. Very easy to figure out the settings. The easiest camera I've used so far and I've been shooting for 40 years. Sometimes I just don't want to think about settings but know I can get a great photo. I can with this camera. It's fun taking a video going down a water slide!
