Get your entries in to win this brand new Gold Coast Surfboards surfboard, worth AU$700, custom made for this competition. This surfboard will be delivered to the winner, anywhere in the world: The terms of entry for this competition follow

  1. This competition commences on 21st April 2008. Entries will be accepted from the 21st April 2008 until the closing date.
  2. The closing date for this competition will be 30th September 2008. No entries will be accepted after 12.00am, AEST on 1 October 2008
  3. Each time you fulfil one of the conditions of entry, you have earned one free entry into this competition.
  4. You can enter the competition multiple times, there is no limit to the number of entries a single person has, so long as each entry fulfills one of the terms of entry below.
  5. There are a number of ways you can earn free entry into this competition. These are:
  • Hire a Surfboard. For each week you hire a surfboard, you earn 1 entry into the competition.
  • Purchase Gold Coast Surfboards Merchandise. Each piece of merchandise you purchase, either from the website or with surfboard hire, will earn you 1 entry into this competition. You can purchase merchandise by clicking through here
  • Refer a friend to Gold Coast Surfboards. If you refer a friend to Gold Coast Surfboards, you will earn the same number of free entries that your friend earns, once your friend confirms the referral.
  1. The winner will be drawn from all valid entries and contacted by phone or email, to notify them that they have won. We will courier this surfboard to the winner, no matter where you live in the world.

Examples Of Entry Criteria

The following examples illustrate these rules of entry:

  • Surfboard Hire: If you hire a surfboard for 1 week you earn 1 entry into the competition. 2 weeks earns you 2 entries, 3 weeks earns you 3 entries.
  • Surfboard Hire, Multiple Boards: If you hire multiple surfboards, each surfboard earns you 1 entry for each week hired. So, if you hire 2 boards for 2 weeks, you have earned 4 entries
  • Purchase Merchandise: If you purchase 2 caps, a rashie and a t-shirt, this will earn you 4 entries into the competition
  • Refer a Friend: If you refer a friend to Gold Coast Surfboards who hires 1 surfboard for 2 weeks and purchases a Gold Coast Surfboards cap, your friend will earn 3 entries into the competition. (Ie. 2 entries for 2 weeks board hire, plus 1 entry for the cap purchase) When you friend confirms that you referred them to us, we will also credit you with 3 entries into this competition.

The competition was shaped by our mates down at Mt Woodgee. These guys are a pretty rare breed, fully handcrafting every single one of their performance boards. This means that every single Mt Woodgee board you see around the world, including our competition board, has been made using traditional hand-workmanship methods. Note, there is a massive difference between a hand-crafted surfboard, and a so called "hand finished" surfboard.
