Currumbin Sanctuary's Wildnight Adventure

Early May 2008, I was lucky enough to be shouted a ticket to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary's Wildnight Adventure. My lovely girlfried bought me the ticket as a surprise, and it wasn't even my birthday. It certainly was a great break from our daily grind of News, Neighbours and Big Brother!

Having been to Currumbin before, I must say I am a bit of a fan. Its set up so it is not quite a theme park, yet not quite a zoo. Sure, you get to wonder around and see all the indigenous Australian animal like a zoo, but it is way more interactive than that. The daylight hour agenda at the park is packed with shows, feeding displays and presentations. So make sure you get a map and plan your day to coincide with these sessions, your day will be much more enjoyable if you do.

The Wildnight Adventure is an awesome innovation that the Sanctuary is now offering us. Whe you consider the number of Australian animals and mammals which are nocturnal, it makes it all the more special. All those animals that are sluggish or sleeping through the day, you will see active and intent during this guided tour through the park after the sun has set.

Adding a traditional Australian Aborigine dance, the opportunity to hold some of our creatures, like a snake and baby crocodile, and the opportunity to feed the kangaroos at night makes for a truly unique Aussie experience, one which will definately add a new dimension to your next holiday on the Gold Coast.

An Offer to Gold Coast Surfboards Customers

We have recently made an arrangement with the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where, as a client of Gold Coast Surfboards, we can offer you 10% off your gate fee to the Sanctuary or their WIldnight adventure. We tend to put a couple of these discount vouchers in your wax bag with your surfboard hire regardless, but if you have kids, or are up with others and require more vouchers, make sure you let us know how many you need. We are more than happy to give you a few extras.
