This surfboard is the perfect example to explains exactly what Gold Coast Surfboards is about. We know we buy the boards you want to surf, as their quality is of the standard of board we'd be happy to surf with. Unlike other operators, we are not going to rent out crap, beaten up surfboards to you. We only rent out the best.

Mt Woodgee are the shapers we use for the surfboards we ride ourselves. Sure, we usually get ours custom made to our precise specifications. Obviously we can't do that for everyone. But we do not go out and buy the cheapest boards we can find. We ensure we only supply quality surfboards for you to rent by buying them from the same guys who sell us the boards we love to ride. If only we had this control over the waves :)

This board was shaped by our mates down at Mt Woodgee. These guys are a pretty rare breed, fully handcrafting every single one of their performance boards. This means that every single Mt Woodgee board you see around the world, including this one, has been made using traditional hand-workmanship methods. Note, there is a massive difference between a hand-crafted surfboard, and a so called "hand finished" surfboard.

This is why we were proud to partner with them, only using them when we want a board custom made. These guys have always been and are the current shapers for ASP pro Bede Durbidge.
